Must go - Niagara Falls (A Trip for a day)

I went to The living water wayside chaple, Inniskillin winery, Butterfly Conservatory and

Niagara Falls.  All places were stunning for me. It was awesome!! amazing..!!!

정말 잊지 못할 여행이 될 것 같다. 감동적인.. 잊지 못할 하루였다.

Must go - St.Lawrence Market & Kensington Market

I would like to write about "St.Lawrence Market & Kensington Market" today.

I went there with a friend of mine on 15th of Feb.
Before I went to the St.Lawrence Market, I had gone to the LCBO(Liquor Control Board of Ontario), which is located in front of the St.Lawrence Market and sells beer, soju, alcohol, and more. The LCBO was fancy for me, because I like drinking. I felt like drinking all kinds of alcohol which are in that place. kkkkkk

After I had looked around the LCBO, I went toward the St.Lawrence Market. (Actually, I prefer to go to a market than a shopping mall.) When I was going to the entrance, there were so many people. The St.Lawrence Market is usually crowded on Saturday.
I could see many fruits, processed meat, flowers, and more. In addition, some musicians played the instruments in some corner of the market.
While I stayed in the market, I found a place which sells coffee beans and drinks. That was so nice, because I felt diverse scent of coffee and cost of coffee drinks was cheaper than other coffee shops. I love that place. If I go there again, I will drink coffee

After that, I went to the Kensington Market. There was an outside market while the St.Lawrence Market was an inside market. As the weather was quite cold, I looked around the street quickly, and then I dropped by some stores. I think most females can like the Kensington Market. Because there has congenial atmosphere, and most of stores sell vintage stuff. If the weather was warm, I could see more active market. That was a shame.

첫 심경의 변화 in Toronto

  오자마자 어리둥절.. 어리버리하게..일을 바로 해야된다는 압박감과 IT쪽 일을 구해보겠다는 일념으로 일주일동안 계속해서 온라인 지원을 했었다. 고로, 이 말은 일주일동안 집밖에 안나갔었다는 얘기..!! 지금 생각해보면 정말 너무 답답했다..좀 돌아다니고 길 위치도 좀 알고 해야했었는데..ㅠ

  암튼..!! 그러던 중 홈스테이 맘이 과거에 웹 개발자였고, 지금은 프로젝트 매니저를 한다는 사실을 알았고, 홈스테이 맘이 흔쾌히 도와준다고 해서 이력서를 고치기까지 2주가 걸렸다. (홈스테이 맘에게는 6살배기 아들이 있고, 프로젝트 매니저로 바쁘게 일하며 더불어 웨딩관련 일도 하고 있어서 무지 바쁘기 때문에) 홈스테이 맘과 이런 저런 얘기를 하며, IT쪽 잡에서 다른 잡 구하기로 마음을 바꾸게 된 것도 2주가 걸린것 같다.

  덧붙이자면, 한국에 내가 있었던 회사에서는 웹쪽으로 Java, Java script, JQuery, Ajax, Gov Framework, Oracle, Altibase 이런 기술들을 사용하고 있는데, 남미쪽과 캐나다 쪽에서는 PHP, Mysql을 많이 사용하고 있었다. 웹 어플리케이션이나 모바일쪽은 비슷한것 같다. 홈스테이맘도 현실적으로 사용기술이 다르기 때문에 니가 공부를 따로 해서 지원을 하던지 그래야 승산이 있을 거라고..

  근데 알다시피 난 시간이 없다. 딱 1년이다. 1년동안 캐나다에서 살기 위해서는 생활비도 벌어야하고, 여행도 다니고 싶고, 영어공부도 하고 싶다. 물론 다 하긴 어렵겠지만 그 짧은 시간에 PHP를 공부해서 무급 인턴쉽을 하고 잡을 구하는 건 아니다 싶었다. 그리하여, 내가 지원을 해서 IT쪽에 웹 개발자로 자리를 잡을 확률은 희박하다는 판단을 내리고, 다음주부터는 발로 뛰어가며 일자리를 구하려고 한다. (홈스테이 맘이 하는 가게에서 일했던 걸로 해준다고.. 흠.. 일단 뭐 커피 만드는거 하루 안에 마스터 하란다..ㅠ 이력서 쓰는 거 도와주시고, 정말고맙습니다. 잘생긴 아들 낳으실거에요~ㅎㅎ)

  캐나다에 오기 전, 내가 왜 캐나다에 가려고 했는지.. 와서 무엇을 얻을 수 있는지 수도 없이 생각했었다. 근데 와서 보니, 잘 모르겠다.. 내가 뭘 원하는건지.. 오기 전에는 단순히 잘 살아갈 수 있을까 걱정도 많이 되긴 했지만, 난 잘 할 수 있다고 생각했었고, 캐나다 생활이 다른 여느 애들처럼 즐겁고 행복할거라고만 생각했었다. 환상이었다. 현실은 달랐다.

  이번 기회를 통해서 내가 캐나다에 살면서 뭘 얻고 싶은 건지 다시 한 번 생각할 수 있는 계기가 되었다. 그랬다. 나는 완벽해지고 싶었던 것이다. 나중에 한국에 돌아가서도 타당한 이유를 댈 수 있도록.. 근데 또 다른 한편으로 생각해보면, 내 인생이고 지금 이 순간에서 내가 경험하고, 최대한 즐기면서 사는 것, 그리고 그것은 또한 내 소중한 자산이고 보물이 될 것이다. 누군가 내 삶을 대신 살아줄 순 없는거니까, 비록 한국으로 돌아가서 내가 설 자리가 없다고 하더라도, 아직은 청.춘. 이겠지? ㅎ

아.. 밤이라 감성적인건가..-_-;; ㅋㅋㅋ 어찌됐건!!..

8th in Toronto - I'm disappointed a little bit.

Today, what I was going to do..

1. To go to Ontario Travel Information
    - 20 Dundas St.West, Toronto, ON, M5G 2C2

2. To go to Evergreen Centre for Youth
    - 380 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON

3. To buy Protector for suede & Calendar
    - Inside Eaton Centre


At first, I went to Ontario Travel Information. Obviously, I was able to get some information about Toronto which are not only for traveling, but also living. While the staff gave me maps and newspapers, she was also giving me how to find a volunteer and recommending ice skating which I can enjoy in winter.
She was so nice, because she explained many things and made me comfortable in that place. If I knew how to react during conversation, I could react to her idea.I think that was a shame.

Secondly, After getting travel information, I looked around Eaton Center. I almost lost on my way though, I bought what I need ( Protector, Calendar ). One thing was in Indigo which is big book store, and the other was in SoftMoc which is one of shoes stores.

So far.. It was nice!!!

Lastly, Evergreen Centre.. that was my last destination which is famous for making resume and helping to get a job in working holiday people, so I went there.
I asked a woman "I'd like to make a resume" .
She said, "How old are you?".
I said, "I'm 27 years old."
She said, "this center is only for youth. It means 16-24 years old"
......

That's right. That center is for youth. I had not realized that before I went there. I just followed other people's experience. OMG..
(in my mind... 아니.. 나이먹은 것도 서러운데..ㅠ 이럴 수 있는거야?!!!...)

But God didn't abandon me. kkk
She asked another job center like Evergreen Center to other coworker.
Finally, she found some centers and printed it.
One of centers which she recommended provides employment assistance, educational & academic programs, training, social and recreational programs, volunteer work program.
Maybe I will go there as soon as possible.

I feel run-down. I should go to bed. >~<
잠깐 돌아다닌건데 엄청 피곤하다. 자야지 ㅋ

아 맞다!! 오늘 재미있었던 일 하나!
Dandus역에 내려서 길 찾으려고 구글맵을 보고 있는데, 어떤 남자가 말거는거다.
그래서 못알아듣는 척 했더니~ 내가 보기에 너 길을 잃은 거 같아. 그러길래 나 여기 찾아가려고 하는데 잘 모르겠어서~ 그러니까 친절하게 알려주는거다. 그래서 아.. 역시 캐나다인들은 친절해~ 라고 생각했던 찰나에...ㅋㅋ 코인 있으면 좀 달란다..-_-......
없다고 안주고 빨리 그 자리를 벗어나고 나서 나중에 지나가다 보니까 거기서 계속 그러고 있더라...-_- 있었는데 안주길 잘했네.. -_-;ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

4th day in Toronto - I missed one of opportunities.

I applied many companies in Toronto as a web developer today.
I'm getting exhausted. When I was still looking for a job, someone called me.

I : Hello! (여기까진 괜찮았다.... ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ-_-)
someone : blah~blahblahblahblah group..
                 blahblahblahblahblah available??
I : yes... (아.. 못알아 듣겠다.. 너무 빨라... ㅠ 뭐라는 거야...ㅠㅠ)
someone : Thank you.
I : ( hung up.... 아.. 이게 아닌가..-_-;;;;;;)

As soon as I hung up the call, I was finding the call number.
That is one of the employment agencies. omg....
If I understood it,  I could grip a chance.. maybe...... Umm...
I know that is impolite... but.... ㅁ니ㅓㄹ이머데ㅐㅓㄹ미ㅓㄹ얾니렁
아이고... ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 미치겠다.. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

20 minutes later, I called the employment agency.

I : Excuse me. a few minutes ago, someone called me, but my phone cut off..
other person : Who.. blah~??
I : Sorry, I can't remember, because she spoke so fast to understand for me.
other person : 글쎄.. 누가 전화했는지 모르겠는데 나는...
I : okay, I see. Thank you :)
other person : welcome!!

아.. 내 정보라도 좀 남기고 구직 한다고 얘기를 했어야 했었을까..
뭔가 아쉬움이 남는다... 근데.. 영어로 전화하는거 처음이라 너무너무너무 긴장된다...
아악... ㅠ_ㅠ

I was obviously nervous....-_-;;;;
I have to find some telephone methods. I need how to call and receive to someone and from someone.

캐나다에서 산다는 건..
이렇게.. 하루에.. 한 개씩...!!!

3rd day in Canada

OMG....really storm.....!!

I heard from the news, the storm would come. I didn't believe it.

But.. it really happened... OMG...

I wasn't able to go anywhere... 

Originally, I was going to downtown in Toronto after lunch.

Not only I was looking around downtown, but also I was buying some cosmetics.

Umm.. today.. I think.. I didn't do anything.

I got up around 12:30 pm.. and I watched "별그대".

That's all.

Um.. I have to remind why I am here.

Get a grip on myself...!!
